Herb of the Month Club
Don’t just read about herbs, experience them for yourself
Reading a book or taking a class are great ways to deepen your herbal knowledge, but the best way to learn is through experience. In Herb of the Month Club, you’ll learn by tasting, touching, identifying plants out in nature, and feeling how the herb affects your unique physiology.
When someone asks you, “who’s this plant?” You want to be able to answer from a place of first hand experience, not simply regurgitated material from an herb book.
There’s so much to learn when it comes to plant medicine – HotM helps you actually retain some of that knowledge so you’re better prepared to support yourself and your family with herbs.

Herb of the Month Club is our most accessible, practical way to learn plant medicine. If you want to study herbs but don’t know where to start,
Develop a Relationship with Plants
When you’re practicing herbalism – professionally or as a hobby – it’s crucial to develop a relationship with plants. But what does it actually mean to develop this *relationship,* and how do you go about it?
It’s simple, really. You develop a relationship with plants the same way you develop relationships with people: you spend time with them, you listen to them, you care for them and they care for you.
Just like with humans, you get to know a plant when you spend time with it one-on-one. Instead of getting overwhelmed reading about dozens of herbs (like trying to get to know someone at a bustling party instead of having them over for tea), you’ll slow down and develop a relationship with one plant.
You’ll have the entire month to connect. You’ll sip the tea, visit it in nature, draw it, read about it…by the end of the month, you’ll have made a new plant friend.
What’s more, is that this program allows you to explore your unique relationship to plants. At the top of the month, you won’t receive much information about the chosen herb. This is intentional and encourages you to form your own understanding independent of what others — “experts” or otherwise — have to say. While you’ll receive plenty of information in the form of handouts about that month’s herb, we’ll release it at a slow drip.
Learn Independently + Learn in Community
At the beginning of the month, you’ll get nothing more than a brief description and the plant itself. During the first week, you’ll focus on how the plant speaks to you and how it feels in your body. Towards the middle of the month, you’ll receive more information about the plant for you to take into your experience, along with guided prompts and exercises.
By the time we have that month’s first call, you’ll already have your own experience to share with the group, and you’ll get to hear about other people’s experiences.
The last week of the month, you’ll receive a full monograph (description) of the plant including its history, lore, medicinal uses, native habitat, growing/harvesting tips, and phytochemistry (if you’re into that).
During our second call of the month, we’ll share what we’ve learned and add it to our growing repertoire of herbal knowledge.
You’ll also have the opportunity to engage with other club members through our Discord server.
